Dr. Jeffrey E. Matz, DC, MS, is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. With 15 years of experience, Dr. Matz integrates chiropractic care and functional medicine to help patients achieve optimal health, specializing in hormone imbalances, autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, and diabetes through a holistic and patient-centered approach.
Functional medicine, a cornerstone of Dr. Matz’s practice, addresses the underlying causes of disease through a systems-oriented approach. This method engages both practitioner and patient in a therapeutic partnership, focusing on the complex interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Each treatment plan is uniquely tailored to the individual.
Dr. Matz earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Life University, focusing on enhancing athletic performance and recovery. His academic journey began at Clemson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition while competing as a student athlete.
With over six years of experience in Charlotte’s largest group pain management practice, including four years as the head chiropractic physician, Dr. Matz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Holistic Wellness Center of the Carolinas. His extensive knowledge spans radiology, sports performance, congenital and musculoskeletal conditions, nutrition, physical therapy, pain management, muscle sequencing, and biomechanics.
Dr. Matz has treated thousands of patients, including Carolina Panthers football players, PGA Tour and Champions Tour golfers, collegiate athletes, and international celebrities. A semiprofessional cyclist and triathlete, he has competed in triathlons for the past seven years, including completing an IRONMAN triathlon.
Known for his eagerness to help and his compassionate approach, Dr. Matz is a valuable addition to the Holistic Wellness Center of the Carolinas team.
Dr. Eleanor Fella, DC, is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician licensed to practice in South Carolina and North Carolina. With nearly 25 years of experience, Dr. Fella is dedicated to helping patients achieve better health through a holistic, functional approach. A pioneer in functional medicine, she has been studying and applying its principles since 1999.
Dr. Fella received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Bridgeport and her Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. After owning a successful practice for 17 years, she moved to the Carolinas and became a pivotal member of the Holistic Wellness Center of the Carolinas. She received her Certification in Functional Medicine and Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition from The Functional Medicine University.
Dr. Fella’s passion for learning and educating others about health is evident in her practice. She is committed to teaching patients how to live healthy, medication-free lives. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Fella loves spending time with her two beautiful daughters, exploring nature, camping, traveling to new places, and playing with her four rescue dogs.
Known for her enthusiasm and expertise, Dr. Fella is a valuable addition to our family-owned holistic medical clinic.
Dr. Amy Lingenfelter DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, brings over 17 years of healthcare expertise to our clinic. With a diverse background in Neurosurgical ICU, Rheumatology, and Regenerative Medicine, Amy's journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC Charlotte, followed by a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina. She is proudly affiliated with the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Holistic Nurses Association.
